Jyoti Ruparell

Jyoti Ruparell is a 19-year-old student at Ryerson University. She is majoring in graphics communication management with a double minor in communication design and professional communication. She is a committed to academic achievement and is a varsity athlete playing volleyball, and an advocate for her community.

Jyoti has been a part of the Calgary, Alberta, community, beginning her journey at Strathcona- Tweedsmuir School in 2006. Since then she has become a six- time honours student, an elite volleyball player, and a large advocate for literacy. She now joins the Ryerson Rams to continue her education, all while playing sports, joining the Ryerson Indian Students Association as a marketing lead, and advancing her involvement in the Toronto community. Jyoti is committed to encouraging youth and her fellow peers to give back to the community and understand the importance of literacy both nationally and globally.
